Gil Pinac and Tracy Wertz

Amber is the daughter of Sharon and Tony Comeaux. She is a student of McNeese State University. The annual pageant was held Saturday morning at the Cajun Country Rice main stage. The event drew a large crowd of supporters.

Her favorite subjects include microbiology and scuba diving. Amber is a member of the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Phi Mu, St. Jude “Up Til Dawn” executive board, and the McNeese student nurse’s association. Her hobbies include running, taking photographs, cooking, reading books that are not required for school, hunting and riding her horse, Bodacious.
For the occasion, Amber selected a strapless green gown, accented with beads near the top, with a fitted waist, and completed with a mermaid skirt.
She will go on to serve as the official Rice Festival ambassador, and will preside over the 74th International Rice Festival next October.
